I’m a Junior in the College studying biological physics and philosophy. I think acting is an exercise in empathy—in understanding another perspective well enough to be able to tell its story—and theater as a live and personal performative medium can be exceptionally suited to evoking empathy in the audience as well. The methodology and aims of this project are unique, and as a long-time theater dweeb, I’m incredibly excited at the opportunity to explore the ways interpersonal performance and dialogue can cultivate understanding, especially at a time where the social and political stakes of that understanding seem to be higher than ever.
